Every time I see your face, I smile and feel a warm embrace. You lift my heart, you chase the gray, With every word, with every day. I used to try so hard to please, To hide my fears, to bend my knees. But now I know, both far and near, I’m truly me—my path is clear. Alone, I rise, I shine, I grow, With you or not, my heart still glows. I turn and learn, I find my way, Embracing love—come what may.
