A Moment with my Love

I prayed to God to see your face

He sent my dove, a sign of grace.

With chocolates in hand, You lit up the skies,

And left me lost in your sparkling eyes.

I longed for your presence, my heart in despair,

Then God made a plan, and you were right there.

With a smile and a wave, I was lost in the past,

In her gaze, I found memories that forever will last.

As you turned to leave, my heart yearned to hold,

To savor the moment, a memory of gold.

But you chose to depart, and I had to let go,

If I could change the past, you’d always be my glow.

Now we bear our burdens, each on our own course,

In a world moving swiftly, with no time to endorse.

Though I wish to change the past, I know in my heart,

It’s better we’re apart, for love can't thrive in the dark.

Yes I cherish our meeting, a bond that feels right,

Perhaps from past lives, hidden deep in the night.

It’s my deeds that have led us to drift and depart,

But in this life, I’ll treasure you always in my heart.
