A Tale of Love, Regret, and Moving On
Once upon a time, in a heart so true,
A man loved a girl, his skies turned blue.
But fate had plans that weren’t his own,
For love unreturned left him alone.
He dreamed of her smile, her laughter, her grace,
But she never saw him in that loving space.
Her heart was calm, not stirred by his fire,
And his love stayed one-sided, his only desire.
Time moved on; the clock wouldn’t wait,
His family urged him to accept his fate.
“Marry this girl,” they said with glee,
And he bowed to their wish, though his heart wasn’t free.
He wed another with vows sincere,
But deep in his soul, her name lingered near.
The girl he loved remained in his mind,
A bittersweet memory he couldn’t unwind.
One day she spoke of a love she had lost,
A broken story that came at a cost.
Hearing her pain made his heart ignite,
With jealousy burning and clouding his sight.
In anger and hurt, he let words fly,
Hurtful arrows that made her cry.
She simply replied—“Fuck off,” in pain,
And erased those words like tears in rain.
Regret struck hard; it wouldn’t relent,
For the cruel words spoken were never meant.
He begged forgiveness; she said she had,
But guilt consumed him and made him sad.
Now he knows love isn’t always returned,
And hearts can ache but lessons are learned.
The past is the past; it’s time to move on,
To cherish the life where love has shone.
He laughed at himself for the fool he’d been,
For chasing a dream that could never win.
Bound by duty and choices past,
He prayed for peace and healing at last.
So here’s the tale of a love so deep,
That left him awake when he should sleep.
But life moves forward; it’s time to heal,
For love is a gift that no one can steal.
Let this story remind us all:
Not every love will answer our call.
Respect their choice; let freedom reign,
For forcing love only brings you pain.
